13th October saw the first evening of BOOM! – An Evening with DJ esSDee & Friends.
I’d like to say a massive thanks to the people of Babyj Upiter .. and to the people who came out, the first night is always the trickiest, we can only build from day one and day has passed. I love the vibe of Baby Jupiter, I love the underground feel (it is literally underground), and I love that there is absolutely no pressure .. people need to visit the place, trust me.
Yes Yes Y’allllllllll… it’s back with BOOM! y’alllllllllll… not only back but back with an almighty Bang!

Thanks to Valium & Cooper who rocked the graffiti side of things.. the airbrush was drying out in the sweltering conditions which meant that the creative juices had to flow from the pen and brushes only, that said they still managed to rock it.
Massive thanks to God’s Jester who read the script perfectly and showed skills to pay the bills.. Grimm Beatz too.. and all their not so single ladies got it in the end.

9 Lives Clik at BOOM!
So as well as myself and Mucka Steez on the One’s & Twos you are going to be promised a crazy amount of eclectic beats with the two DJ’s that have put themselves forward for Issue 1 of BOOM!
The two Bradford based DJ’s ‘Gods Jester’ and ‘Grimm Beatz’ will both be performing an hours set each.
To that soundtrack of music will be 2 crazy talented Graffiti writers who will be displaying and creating a very large Live piece indoors on the night.
Headlining the evening with a standout Live Performance will be ’9 Lives Clik’ (Chief Wigz & Optik).
And then as before mentioned, I will be performing a set that’ll include a homage to A Tribe Called Quest and something else I’m working on but want to keep close to my chest…

So the date is set and the set lists are loose as always!
One thing I am sure of is that the music will flow and I’ll definitely have a section set aside for some Tribe Called Quest hot numbers.
Been listening to some cool B-Boy Blaxploitation funky stuff this morning so I have to get some of the good stuff in there, and a Sunday wouldn’t be a Sunday if you didn’t hear Dolly Parton’s ’9 to 5′ to invite the next week in.
I really want you all down for the meet up more than anything, upstairs in Milo holds 70 people, I have chosen this venue because I want BOOM! to be cool and intimate,
